Thunder sound effect. Created using layered sound of rustling baking paper. Paper was pitched down, eq'd and had reverb added.

Recorded with my zoom h4n, dual stereo, single thunder. Feel free to share.

The tail end of a rumble of thunder. I chopped off everything above 1. 5khz or so, since is was all background noise. Recorded with a tascam dr-07 mk. Ii microphone and a røde dead kitten windscreen.

The sound of rain falling interspersed with rumbles of thunder at varying volumes. A lovely, rich recording. The audio is raw, so you'll need to amplify it to suit your needs. This was recorded in-person with a tascam dr-40 stereo recorder and a faux-fur wind guard due to occasional breezes. Public domain: i have released this audio file into the public domain. Thunder storm in london, it happened in the early hours so traffic noise is low. There's a little hiss from the recorder, some of it is rain though. I've uploaded the whole file, its pretty big, i can upload an mp3 if anyone needs it.

This was captured on may 14th in azeitão, portugal, during a very cloudy and rainy day.

This is thunder and rain.

This was a fairly small air mass thunderstorm, only a few km across. However, it made up for its size with amplitude, becoming the largest attention seeker for miles around. Listen at -07:12 for some of the strangest thunder i have ever heard. . . Recorded with a rode stero videomic pro.

This is a deep bass rumble sound. Created in audacity by generating a brownian noise and band passing it through a steep 15 to 100 hz filter. The reason for the roll off below 15hz is to remove energy that doesn't produce any sound. It just moves the speaker cone and wastes amplifier power, thus it was rolled off.

June thunder storm recorded from my back door, i used a beat up flip camera isolated the sound in movie maker and cleaned it up as best as i could in audacity.
